Book Recommendations

I often get emails asking me for “the best” books to read to help with recovery. It’s a tough question because there are many good books, and not everybody benefits from the same material. I will give you a list of my favorites and a brief description.

1. Path of Empowerment by Barbara Marciniak. This book changed my life. Without question the most important book I have read but not a basic 12 step addiction recovery book. This book  is about discovery, the discovery of YOU!

2. Under The Influence by Dr. James Milam. In print since the 80’s. The “bible”  when it comes to understanding the basics of alcoholism and addiction.

3. The Power of Intention by Dr. Wayne Dyer. A guide to getting out of our old belief systems and finding some new inspiration and insight.

4. Infinite Possibilities by Mike Dooley. Mike presents some deep material in a easy to read format that  can help you change your life and all that’s in it starting today. An mandatory read for anybody seeking a new perspective and feeling done with being a victim of life’s “difficult situations.”

5. For individuals who are ready to step into some deep spiritual work, Anna, Granbdmother of Jesus by Claire Heartsong is an important book. I’ve read it three times.
