Online Recovery Support – Episode 98
On this weeks episode of ORS Radio I am going to share a poignant story about recovery and healing what some medical professionals thought was “dementia” but turned out to be a disorder of the small intestine called celiac disease. Celiac disease is the body’s intolerance to gluten which is found primarily in wheat. This story illustrates the importance of proper diagnosis and treatment of all disease and also teaches us to “trust in our gut”.
Also, the importance of Fish Oil and Vitamin D3 and B12 supplements to support mental health, mood, and in many cases relieve or completely resolve depression.
I will also spend some time talking about codependency, help from the family, and knowing when to let go. I will also devote time to the different phases of recovery and the term “Emotional sobriety.”

Online Recovery Support – Episode 97
On tonight’s show another quote and reminder from Mike Dooley and how “Thoughts Become Things”. Our favorite authors and a book list from Brene Brown, Hank Wesselman, Wayne Dyer, Barbara Marciniak, Don Miguel Ruiz, and Paulo Coelho.
A few words about rage and what may be underneath the surface. Some criteria to help decide how to find the best possible treatment or therapy and some of the conflicts that arise during the evaluation process.
Is it OK for a sex addict to visit a prostitute and view pornography?
Am I forced to stay involved in a 12 step program for the rest of my life, or is it a gift that perhaps I should embrace? It’s all a matter of perspective.

Online Recovery Support – Episode 96
On tonight’s show I start with a quote from Mahatma Gandhi, then something from Mike Dooley. First, choose from the options that thrill you. Then, choose the ones that also teach you. And from these, choose the scariest. Why? Because it has the most to teach us!!
I want to devote a significant amount of time to trauma and our “inner selves.” We are complete beings and there are many aspects to our total selves. Some of us have aspects of our souls that need healing, and some of those aspects come from our early years. I will spend some time talking about the smaller parts that make up the whole.
Then, “What is the work I am being given to do?”
